Purchasing Coordinator-$30 to $30 per hour DOE

Position Summary

 

The Purchasing Coordinator working under the general supervision of the Purchasing Manager maintains inventory, orders and receives product, assigns the Driver for pick up and deliveries, as well as following through on all Purchase Orders and Receivers.

 

 

 

Essential Job Duties

§  Purchase items identified in the Made2Manage (M2M) system que for specific jobs while maintaining all inventory levels

§  Make purchases from the pick list of items not in the que or to make corrections to inventory

§  Verify prices and delivery times prior to placing orders using a Purchase Order

§  Develop and create a list of buy-out updates of jobs with Purchase Order vendor due dates

§  Run report listing items needed to purchase and make purchases based on department requests

§  Follow up on orders placed with vendors

§  Work with Receiving and notify the vendor if the wrong part is received or if a part needs to be repaired and make the necessary corrections

§  Notify Engineering to correct problems with M2M parts

§  Pull and archive closed and completed purchase orders

§  Give the Driver a trip route list for pick up and deliveries

§  Request COD checks from Accounting and verify all purchase order information prior to releasing check

§  Assist with Stock Room needs and obtain price and availability information for Customer Service

 

Other Duties

§  Log all purchases into the M2M system, distribute copies, and file

§  Correct purchase order errors by verifying the price and availability of parts

§  Close purchase orders in the Production Department that are cancelled or incomplete

s  Make new files at the end of the year, box, and change out

s  Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Ÿ  High school diploma required; college degree preferred

Ÿ  Three years Purchasing experience required preferably in a manufacturing environment

Ÿ  Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of M2M a plus or ability to learn

Ÿ  Able to use a calculator and keyboard for typing

Ÿ  Possess effective organization and time management skills, be detail oriented, use good judgment, manage competing priorities for multiple projects and consistently meet all deadlines

Ÿ  Must be persistent, have a demonstrated ability to follow through, have excellent problem solving skills, be cost conscious and possess effective negotiating skills

Ÿ  Must be a proactive self-starter, adhere to the highest ethical standards and demonstrate integrity

Ÿ  Bilingual in Spanish a plus
